Summary of Position

  • Under the leadership of his immediate superior, the Training Manager, the incumbent is to execute the approved Training and Development Program and whatever other activities of the Training Center in support of the company’s Mission, Vision, and Annual Business Plan.
  • Support the Training Manager in organizing and managing the day-to-day activities and needs of the Training Center.
  • Execute all of his training activities with the view of meeting the following objectives:
    • Increase the overall competence and confidence of all employees.
    • Improve company morale through morale boosting activities.
    • Finish agreed training modules and programs on time and on budget.

Help the Training Manager in promote career development by establishing career paths for each position.

Requirements

  • Educational Background and Experience
    •  Holder of Bachelor’s in English Translation .
    • At least 2 years experience working with a coffee shop or training of trainers .
    • Knowledge of the science and art of coffee making will be an advantage.

 

  • Knowledge, Skills and Competencies – must be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of and skills in the following areas:
    • Can execute formal training and development programs.
    • Have knowledge and experience on how apply a range of media to meet the various needs in the execution of the training programs, for example: coaching, face-to-face or one-on-one training, self-paced learning, in-store training, classroom lectures, on-the-job training, group dynamics, team building, self learning modules, etc.
    • Must be able to handle multiple on-going training modules while at the same time while ensuring on schedule delivery - the ability to work to set schedules.
    • Can review and evaluate ready-made or existing training and development modules.
    • Must possess strong computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office, that is, be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
    • Have a high level of people skills by demonstrating teamwork and leadership capabilities – good ability to work with people at all levels.

Has the ability to overcome resistance to change through his reasoning, problem-solving skills, presentation skills, good interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal forms, and strong commitment to quality improvement.
